Therapy for anxiety and depression
If the weight has been hard to carry lately, you don't have to carry it alone. We work to lighten the load together.
Anxiety and depression can look like being wired and exhausted at the same time, or snapping at the people you love. It makes sense that you are tired. Here, we help you find solid ground again.

The version no one else sees
Maybe on the outside, you look like you have it together. You're performing at work and showing up for friends. But inside, it feels like a constant hum of dread. In this space, you don't have to perform.
When your days have started to feel like too much
Anxiety and depression show up differently for everyone. Below are some of the more common experiences.

Off-Kilter Rhythms
Sleeping too much or too little, or an appetite that's gone up or down without explanation.

Loss of Interest
Losing interest in things that used to feel good.
You do not need to have all of these, or be at your lowest, for therapy to help. Reaching out early is not an overreaction. It's a good idea.

Racing Mind
A mind that races, plans, and worries, especially at night.

Bone-Deep Fatigue
Fatigue that sleep doesn't seem to fix.

Moving Through Fog
Trouble concentrating, or a sense of moving through fog.

Short Fuse
Irritability, or a shorter fuse than usual.

On Edge
Feeling on edge, restless, or braced for something to go wrong.

Not Enough
A quiet, persistent sense of not being enough.
How I help you find solid ground
My approach to anxiety and depression is integrative, because these things live in more than one place. Sometimes we will start in the body, noticing where anxiety actually sits and learning to work with your nervous system rather than against it. Sometimes we will look at the thoughts running underneath, gently examining a belief like "I always mess things up" and finding a more balanced, accurate way to see the situation. And sometimes we will make room for what the heaviness has been trying to tell you. You will not be handed a worksheet and sent on your way. We go at your pace, and we find what actually helps you.

What our work together looks like
You are the expert on your own life, and I will follow your lead while holding you accountable to what you have said matters to you. Some weeks we will slow down and simply make sense of things together. Other weeks I might suggest something concrete to try between sessions, because real change often happens in the hours between our appointments. Throughout, I will be honest with you, because I think you deserve honesty and not just comfort. Nothing happens in a black box.
What healing can look like
Feeling better is not about becoming a different person. It's about coming back to yourself. Over time, the work can look like:
✓
✓
A quieter mind, and nights that feel less braced
✓
Energy and motivation returning to ordinary days
✓
Enjoying things again, instead of just getting through them
✓
Understanding your emotions instead of being ruled by them
✓
Responding to hard moments instead of only reacting
Feeling more like yourself, more of the time
Lighter days and a quieter mind are possible, and you don't have to get there alone. When you're ready, let's take the first step together.
Anxiety & Depression FAQ
How do I know if I'm dealing with anxiety, depression, or both?
Anxiety and depression often overlap, and many people experience both at once. Anxiety tends to feel like racing thoughts, restlessness, or being braced for something to go wrong, while depression tends to feel like heaviness, low motivation, or loss of interest. You do not need to sort out the label yourself. That's part of what we do together.
Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No, you do not need a diagnosis to start therapy. Many people reach out simply because something feels off, stuck, or heavier than usual. You also do not need to be at your lowest point for therapy to help. Reaching out earlier is often easier, not harder.
Can therapy for anxiety and depression be done online?
Yes, anxiety and depression are treated effectively through online therapy, and this practice is fully telehealth. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place by secure video, so you can meet from wherever you feel most comfortable. Trista works with clients located anywhere in Colorado, Tennessee, and Florida.
Will therapy just teach me to think positive?
No, effective therapy is not about forcing positivity or pretending things are fine. It's about examining whether your current thinking patterns are accurate and helpful, and finding more realistic, balanced perspectives. The goal is clarity, not cheerfulness, alongside real support for how you feel.
How long does therapy for anxiety and depression take?
There's no fixed timeline, because everyone is different, though many people notice meaningful shifts within a few months. Some approaches are shorter-term by design, and we check in regularly about how things feel and adjust as we go. There is no pressure to rush.
